St. George’s Church is available in many places, but there is a mosaic map embedded in it in 560 AD. It is the oldest Middle East map in the world. It is of historical significance and therefore more solemn and sacred.

It feels that it is difficult to find here. It is blocked by nearby houses. It is a very small courtyard with gorgeous decoration inside. The vault is not high, the area is small, three columns, and not many people can be accommodated. But here is Islam dominated.

The Church of St. George is an impressive complex that houses the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, a ceremonial office that serves as the spiritual center of the Christian Orthodox community comprising more than 300 million people. The Patriarch residing here is considered “first among equals” among all of the Orthodox leaders. Byzantine mosaics, rich decorations, and impressive icons all make it a beautiful spiritual experience to visit. There are daily services, with a schedule on the official website of the Patriarchate.
