El Tunco is a country with several resorts, including the famous surfing mecca. It is only 40 km from the capital, San Salvador. It is safe, with golden sand beaches, uncarved cliffs, green-like rivers, and small bays dotted with black sand and volcanic stones. Prices are very cheap. Many people come here to learn to surf.
