The Fontaine des Quatre-Saisons is located at 57-59 Grenelle Street, Paris's seventh district. The Royal Sculptor Buchardon completed it in 1745. The woman in the centre represents the city of Paris. She sits on a throne, wears a crown, dresses gorgeously, and holds the bow of a boat in her hand. The characters on both sides represent the Seine and Man rivers respectively. The three marble figures are 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The decorations on the wings of the building include four niches and shallow relief figures representing the four seasons.
