If there is only one scenic spot to visit in Cappadocia, it must be the Grameen Open-air Museum. This is Turkey's World Cultural Heritage Site. It is a complex of buildings built on the basis of natural landforms, including grotto churches, chapels and monasteries. Located in a steep valley, the Open-air Museum concentrates the nature, history and Humanities of Cappadocia, bringing together more than 30 grotto churches of different sizes and sizes. These churches were originally built by Christians who migrated to Cappadocia to avoid political persecution. To hide their eyes and ears, they hollowed out the hills and built churches. The interior was painted with colorful murals. Photographs are not allowed inside the church.
