On December 1, 1948, two things of special historical significance occurred in the history of New China's financial history - the People's Bank of China announced the establishment of a place in Shijiazhuang known as the Xiaohui Building, and began issuing the first set of RMB. At 10:30 on December 2, 2009, No. 55, Zhonghua North Street, Shijiazhuang City, had experienced brilliant, forgotten, and even destroyed small gray building finally re-emerged with radiant glory. The opening ceremony of the Former Site Memorial Hall of the People's Bank of China, the Hebei Coin Museum, was officially held by the restoration of Xiaohui Building. The former site of the People's Bank of China has been identified by the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government and the Hebei Provincial Government as a key cultural relics protection unit at the municipal and provincial levels, and actively applied for key cultural relics protection units at the national level. The museum will be open to the public free of charge, and citizens can visit it for free with ID cards.
