Helsinki Olympic Stadium Review

The 1952 Summer Olympic Games are held here to commemorate the 15th Olympic Games. This is of special significance to the Chinese people because it is the first time in the history of New China to participate in the Olympic Games and the first time that the five-star red flag is raised here in the Olympic arena.

The stadium from the Helsinki Olympics in 1952. The building itself isn't spectacularly breathtaking but it is is interesting to visit this piece of history. The surrounding park is a lovely place to stroll around though!

Helsinki Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 1952 Summer Olympics and other major events, was designed by the famous Finnish architects Y. Lindgland and T. Yanti. It has a strong vertical and horizontal contrast and is one of the most spectacular buildings in the 20th century. At the entrance of the stadium stands a statue of the famous Finnish long-distance runner Patti & Numi in his running posture.

Clear skies are rare, but we were lucky to bump into them. There is a jogger statue in the Olympic Park. It is the first athlete in Finland to win a gold medal or to forget to participate. The tall towers and stairs of the Olympic Stadium are a scene with a great sense of rhythm.

A bronze statue of Nurmi, a famous runner and God of long-distance running, was once born here. It is the first artistic statue of an athlete in the new era. The most distinctive one is the stadium tower, which is 272 meters high. He looks down on Helsinki like a giant.
