Hollyhock House Review

It was a fantastic house designed by Wright even though the owner never lived in it. The details of the house were fantastic. I wish more rooms in this building would be open to the public, but I also understand that they are trying to maintain the place.

If you like Frank Lloyd Wright, you can't help visiting the house. Frank Lloyd Wright built a 30-acre mountain building for Irene Basdale in Los Angeles. Before it was built, she fired him, and his son and another architect built it. It has many Wright style features, low entrance open access, expanding the space of the house itself, beautiful furniture, eliminating the lines between the interior and the exterior, and giving a full view of the city. I am a self-help tour, but the commentator can answer any questions, because the second floor is not open to tourists, we are lucky to find a lecturer, he has all the pictures here. Magic house and full of'Wright'style. You can't go nowhere.

The sunflower building is in a beautiful park, very easy to find, parking is very convenient. There are many tour guides here, they all know a lot and are very friendly. But many rooms in the museum are closed. Nothing to see! If you are traveling for self-service, you will come here to kill time! My tour was short - totally wasted money and disappointing! There were some audio tours and explanations that were very poor and I didn't spend money renting equipment. I had been there a few years ago and a very good guide led us on a rich and enjoyable tour. That was good! Don't come to this place!

The Aline Barnsdall Hollyhock House is a building in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright as a residence for oil heiress Aline Barnsdall, built in 1919–1921.

It's was closed for maintenance, unfortunately.
