Construction from the 15th century to 1941 was destroyed by German air strikes, and now a fully restored version of the reconstruction to commemorate the 800th anniversary of Riga's construction, completed in 1999. The Blackhead Club was a friendly meeting of unmarried trade traders at the time. The Blackhead Palace is where they hold dances and other events. The hall is in front of the town hall square.
