The Sampo icebreaker, the only sightseeing icebreaker in the world, was built in 1960 in the port of Kemi, Finland, and after twenty-seven years of icebreaking, it was no longer able to adapt to the navigation of larger ships because of the width of the ship and the need to retire before the end of the service life.
