In 1804, Joao VI flew from Portugal to Brazil to plunder a new era of colonies from Napoleon. After the royal family was founded, Rio de Janeiro became the capital of the country. This building, Paço became the house of D. João VI and his family. It became a museum, and after that, its furniture, objects and other historically valuable things were transferred to other museums and became cultural spaces. After reform, it is now so prosperous in the nineteenth century.
