In this dusty city, this garden is not as glorious as the Golden Temple, but also a little quiet.

Very informative and also quite sad. The grounds are beautiful and fitting tribute to those who lost their lives at the whim of one man.

Jallianwala Bagh is a historic garden and ‘memorial of national importance’ in Amritsar, India, preserved in the memory of those wounded and killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that occurred on the site on the festival of Baisakhi, 13 April 1919.It houses a museum, gallery and a number of memorial structures. The Garden is pretty well maintained but the Museum has been cramply built for a such a Historic place. All in all visiting Golden Temple this is a place to gotto visit, its an experience in itself.

Jallianwala Bagh is a historic public garden located in Amritsar, India. It is known for its tragic past, as itwas the site of a massacre during the British Raj in 1919. The peaceful protest against the oppressive policies was violently suppressed, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of innocent people. Today, Jallianwala Bagh stands as a solemn reminder

    1. Since the Amri massacre in 1919 took place in the garden, the social function here is equivalent to the Martyrs Memorial Park; 2. The garden is not very big, but the attractions related to the tragedy have retained a part, bullet walls, refuge wells should not be missed; 3. Free visit.
