The Johannesburg Botanical Garden in South Africa was built on the basis of Jan Van Riebeeck Park in 1969, covering 81 hectares. At that time, the overall plant planting design of the whole park was based on 42 families of trees as the framework, and other plants were planted according to ecological habits and ornamental characteristics.
