Kasthamandap was originally a public house where pilgrims and passers-by rested, then built as a temple. The Temple played a very important role in the midnight history of Kathmandu. Now here is a ruin. It is said that it was built from a single tree. Last year's earthquake, now here is a piece of ruins. Repair work is under way.
