Kek Lok Si Temple Review

a must place to visit when you are in Penang. prepare to walk many steps to the peak to pray to the lady Guan Yin. come during Chinese new year to soak in the sea of festive light

To get to this temple in Penang we have to travel up the funicular railway and take the cable car, and it is a steep and exciting ride that lasted around 5 minutes! We climbed 7 storeys to reach the highest point at the pagoda. The steps can be a little steep at some points but we still managed to conquer it 💪. The views at the top are really breathtaking, thus worthy of our time spent there!

It’s the biggest Buddhist temple in Malaysia and a must visit spot in Penang! The temple was huge but well maintained. You can also take a cable car ride to the upper hill and that’s where the huge Guanyin statue located.

Everyone is incense at the entrance of the temple. The incense is free. There are many people and most of them are believers. Mazu's temple, passing by or recommend to worship peace.

Must visit during Chinese New Year! They will light up during CNY only and very nice!
