Five of 20 days: Walk from Glasgow University to the Kevin Grove Museum of Art (The Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum) is one of Scotland's hottest free attractions and the third-largest British museum outside London. Part of the construction of the Kevin Grove Museum of Art was funded by proceeds from the 1888 World Exhibition at Kevin Grove Park, which was opened in 1901 by John William Simpson and Milner Allen. It is in Spanish Baroque style and adheres to the tradition of Glasgow people using local red sandstone. It has one of the world's best collections of weapons and armor, as well as a large collection of natural history. The collection includes many fine European artworks including the Old Master, French Impressionists, Dutch Renaissance, Scottish colorists and Glasgow Schools. The museum contains Salvador Dali's famous work "Christ of the Cross" (Christ of Saint John of the Cross) ~ Figure IV, which was purchased by the curator when he met Dali. From 2003 to 2006, the painting was moved to the San Montgomery Museum of Religious Life and Art (St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art)
