What a totally unique and sobering experience. I've never really toured a jail (I don't think...at least clearly not one that was memorable), and this one sets the bar quite high. As the granddaughter of Irish immigrants, I found the prison to be such a haunted, tortured place with such a sad story to tell of the troubled and corrupted Irish history. If you're at all interested in Irish history from the late 1800s (and the Republic political movement), I recommend a tour here. It was worth the price of admission for what I learned alone.

It's very distinctive. It's worth visiting. There's a commentator. The explanation is very detailed. It's about an hour and a half. You can understand some of Ireland's past, prison depression feeling is still very strong, you can go to see

The prison is 3.5 kilometers away from the center of Dublin. Friends interested in Irish history can choose to visit it. The prison has the taste of an Irish patriotic education base.

History shows that prisons during the Great Revolution were full of severe and horrible feelings.
