The old Paris prison, on the Seine, is not as big as Bastille, but it is as brutal as it is. It was once held by Marie Antoinette, the queen of Louis XVI. Few people can get out of here alive. It is now open as a museum, retaining a portion of the 18th and 19th century execution rooms and cells.
