Opera Square is a square in the ninth arrondissement of Paris, surrounded by Italian Avenue (Boulevard des Italiens), Garbutt Avenue (Boulevard des Capucines), Opera Avenue (Avenue de l''Op, Rue Auber, Rue Halévy, Heping Street (rue de la Paix) and September 4th Street (rue du Quatre-Septembre). The square is named after the Paris Opera, which was built simultaneously. The surrounding buildings were part of the grand plan of Baron Ottoman to remake Paris during Napoleon III.
