Lake Kariba is a tourist attraction located at the border between northwestern Zimbabwe and Zambia, 369 km from the capital Harare. Kariba means trap in Zimbabwe's Shona language, because the Zambezi river flows into the trap as it passes through this canyon. It was a wasteland, and after three years of fighting, it was finally transformed into the world's second largest artificial lake in 1958. Lake Kariba is 350 kilometers long, 50 kilometers wide, and has a water cover of 6,000 square kilometers. When you come to Lake Kariba, the first thing you see is the various types of boats moored in the small harbor. Locals say that to see the panoramic view of the lake, you must climb the town of Kariba, which is located on the hill on the bend of the lake. Here, the vast blue water, the scales are shining, like thousands of silverfish swimming. Lake Kariba, with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, worthy of the reputation of a holiday paradise, is definitely a good place for vacation, especially the hotel style here is very much to choose.
