The cable car bought online is very convenient. Since there are more tourists during the New Year, you can swipe the code to get on the cable car in about 30 minutes. The cable car takes about 20 minutes. The weather is good and you can see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and artificial islands.

The longest cable car, the weather was bad on the day we went, and the photos were average! The difference between the crystal car and the standard car is whether the bottom is glass. We bought one-way, went up and turned around and took the bus down the mountain. Eating on the mountain is particularly expensive, 127 bowls of sky-high dolphin bone ramen! I didn't go to Tai O Fishing Village, and I went to Tai O by car for an hour.

Only one way up and down the island via Cable Car, not recommended to go during peak period, as the waiting queue is very very very long.

Lantau Island is a very beautiful place. You can visit the big Buddha there as well as have a vegetarian meal at Po Yin monestary. There is a tranquil trail called the wisdom path which takes around 20mins to complete. Do take care of the period to visit, it can be quite busy.
