The Jesuit Square is a famous museum of nature and history in Cordoba. It is a place I am very looking forward to. When I come here, I feel that the fatigue of the journey has been swept away and it is worth it.

This is a beautiful historic building built by the Jesuits. It opened its first university in Argentina. This place has a wonderful library, a small museum with stunning old and well-preserved books, a variety of maps showing the changes in South America over the centuries, and exquisite local carvings. Not to mention a comfortable interior courtyard, which invites you to sit down and just consider the space around you.

one of the few places in the pelourinho area that you can reach by taxi or uber as in most roads are closed for traffic. also easy to catch a taxi or uber from their. within short walk from the main pelourinho area and elevador Lacerda. the square is surrounded by some fantastic colonial buildings and there are always some kind of local entertainment, ie. capoeira show, or some music, including drums.

You can visit the Jesuit church for free at any time, but if you want to see the museum next door and join the bargain church tour, the museum tour is worth a try. It is a small fee of $20 (about 1.15 dollars), but only at 10 am and 5 pm there will be English travel (quite fast, English guidance is not very good). At other times there is a Spanish tour, or you can stroll around free places, but see galleries and libraries, you need to pay for it and need to take part in a tour. The gallery is nothing special, the library is modern, all books hang in glass graves in low temperatures, and the 'thrones room' where students face exams is the highlight after the church.

Jesus Square is a famous landmark building in Salvador. I heard that it is good here, and I came and almost lost my way, but after arriving, I felt that it was worth it.
