Margalla Hills National Park Review

this is easily one of the best places to drive through mountains and then have a marvellousview of the city from the top.

I don't think it's as good as you can imagine. The mountain road is steep and the driver is good at driving. There are two restaurants on the top of the hill. There's a big viewing platform called Morna. Sit down and have a cup of coffee. Look at the city landscape of Islamabad under the hill. There are several new high-rise office buildings, mostly single-door houses, parliament buildings, main roads and lakes. Fog and haze enveloped.

Beautiful Margalla hills have so many points towards Pir Sohawa where one can sit and relax.

Scenic area, a place worth visiting

Mount Magra, located in the northwest of Islamabad, is the remnant of the Karakoram Mountains. At the foot of the hill is the Islamabad Wildlife Park (at the entrance of the F6-F7 highway), driving up the highway. Half of the hill is a famous half-mountain park, which can overlook the whole Islamabad on its viewing platform. There is a famous Monal open-air restaurant on the top of the hill, overlooking the lights of the city and having dinner with friends is absolutely the most romantic evening program in Islamabad. There are about seven routes up the mountain, one of which is a highway, which can ride a bicycle or drive up the mountain. The other six are hiking routes. Highway condition is good, but the road surface is not wide and the slope is very steep. If you choose to drive to the top of the mountain, you must choose the vehicle in good condition, so as not to have trouble or get off the trolley on the way up. Among the hiking routes, the most mature ones are Line 3 and Line 5 (Trail 3, Trail 5). There is a map sign at the entrance of Line 3, which shows the hiking route map of the whole Magra Mountains and can be photographed by camera before going up. In addition, there is a hill on the main entrance of Line 3 about 10 meters west, which is sparsely traveled, but the scenery is more magnificent than that of the main line (overlooking Islamabad all the way). Along this road, it will intersect with the main line without risk of losing its way. The entrance of Line 5 is about 1 kilometer east of Line 3. It is characterized by a stream on the way up the mountain. It can be traced up in summer when there is plenty of water.

Margalla hills national park is beautifully organized and is good for a family day out and picnic.
