Duomo di Milano, Italy's famous Catholic Church, also known as "Duomo Catholic Church", is located in Milan, Italy. It is the main church of Milan and one of the world's five largest churches, ranking second in the world. Construction began in 1386, the vault was completed in 1500, and the gold-plated statue of the Virgin Mary on the central tower was installed in 1774. Completed in 1965, it took five centuries. It is not only the symbol of Milan, but also the center of Milan. Napoleon held the coronation ceremony in Milan Cathedral in 1805. The Cathedral of Milan is the largest Gothic Church in the world. It can hold religious activities for 40,000 people. After six centuries, architects from Germany, France, Italy and other countries have participated in the design of the cathedral, bringing together a variety of national architectural styles. The church is characterised by its shape. There are 135 minarets with pointed arches, wall pillars and window lattices. They are like dense towers pierced into the sky, and there are statues of gods on each minaret. There are more than 2,000 statues outside the church, which is very strange. If there are more than 6,000 statues in the interior, it is the Gothic church with the largest number of statues in the world. Tickets 2 Euros, it is suggested that booking online in advance, or buy tickets to queue, into the church to queue, bare square, the sun can make people dizzy. There is a toll-free toilet at the ticket office, once a euro. You can climb the top on foot through 920 steps (8 Euros), or you can choose to climb the top by elevator (13 Euros). In the square in front of Milan Cathedral, when I was taking a panoramic view of the front of the cathedral, an old Italian handsome man came up and grabbed my hand, put a handful of corn kernels in my hand, instantly the pigeons stood full of my hands and arms, then I could not give up, took some pictures, and then the handsome man grabbed my hand and let go a handful of corn, still hot. Help me take pictures. I thought at that time that it would not be free, but thought that it should be 5 Euros to be sent, no matter what, I didn't expect to end after 50 Euros, and then bargain for 20 Euros, in fact, there are police in the cathedral door, but I am with the group, do not want to delay the time of team members, there is no police, I suggest that you stay away from these people, take some bread to go. Feed the pigeons. So many times out, the first time was routine, think a little angry. And everywhere there are little black people with red ropes tied to their hands, so stay away from them.

Duomo di Milano or Milano Cathedral is simply stunning! Its Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles are mesmerising! I’ve visited this place thrice in a different dates: first with my mum and my brother in 2018 , then in 2022 with my boyfriend and in 2023 with my best friend and her baby!

I am truly amazed by this wonderful cathedral made of full marble! all the sculptures are so lively! It’s very crowded at the square I can hardly get a nice photo alone, but there are professional photographers which you can pay for.

It is worth going to see. It is recommended to go up the elevator. At 9:30 in the morning, there will be fewer people. It is important to book tickets in advance, otherwise you will queue up to buy tickets for at least 1 hour. Go up 9:30 and go down about 10:30 (there are still many places to take pictures on the top), go downstairs is a very narrow staircase, about 5-10 minutes down, down is the cathedral, shocking architecture and design, stroll around and enjoy the history, Come out in about an hour, go straight (in line to buy tickets) and go straight through the crowds and you will get the best and cheap bags at the Milan Museum . The trip was so enjoyable, Milan Cathedral is basically within a 25-minute walk to other attractions such as Peace Gate, Gallery and more.
