Mingalar Zedi Pagoda Review

Mingala means “auspicious or kind” in Burmese. It was built in the decline of the Bagan era in the mid-13th century. It is one of the largest monuments in Bagan. Its structure is similar to the prototype of the Burmese Tower - the Ruijin Gongta, which is a solid stupa that you cannot enter. It is a large pagoda built at the end of the 13th century. There are fences so you can't get close to the side, but the overall decoration looks beautiful.

The whole pagoda consists of a three-tier terrace platform and a gourd-shaped pagoda. On the side of the three-tier platform, 550 green and yellow glazed bricks have been inlaid. These beautiful glazed brick reliefs describe the story of Buddha practicing Bodhisattva Road after being recorded by the burning lamp Buddha before becoming a Buddha.

Very small place, but fun and worth a visit.

From a distance, you can see the magnificent dome of this building. Unfortunately, when I visited and explored in December last year, it was totally closed, so it was a pity that I could only enjoy it outside the iron gate!:___________（
