[Attraction Guide] Detailed address: Mount Vesuvius is located on the coast about 11 kilometers southeast of Naples. Even on the seaside of downtown Naples, it is very obvious. It is a spectacular traffic guide: take the train or take a taxi from Naples to Pompeii. Here you can go directly to the ancient city of Pompeii for a long time, or you can take the bus to Vesuvius for a long time. This Vesuvius volcano half-day tour is a fixed project. It is very convenient to go to the bus. Opening hours: After 4 pm, I will not leave the bus to the volcano. Highlights: From Pompeii to Suwei volcano, many vineyards have long heard that ash is very nutritious, so the local grapes are also very famous for making red wine. The bus will stop at about 1 km on the mountainside. After the tourists come down, they have to walk a few hundred meters to the crater. The zigzag is the shape of the road, so the slope is not big, but it is not very tired. I see many elderly people in Europe and America climbing. On both sides are handrails, the road under foot is ash, the grass on the side is not raw, climb to the top of the mountain, one side is a dark brown crater, the other side is the sea and the city of Naples, very spectacular. There are many students on the way up the mountain, there are special teachers explaining, listening carefully is talking about the process of volcanic formation and some geographical concepts, it seems that this is a wave of outdoor learning courses. If it is short time, basically go to the crater to see it can come down, almost two hours to see, do not expect to see red lava, although it is an active volcano, is currently in a dormant state, so there is no danger. If you have more time, you can walk around the crater, and I see many local outdoor hiking enthusiasts walking far across the crater. Little Tips: There are many movie novels and literary works. When it comes to ancient Rome, there is no shortage of the story of the eruption of Vesuvius to bury the ancient city of Pompeii. The latest volcanic eruption was in 1964, basically, every few decades. I don't know when next time. There is no regret about the opportunity to come to this world famous volcano.

We visited Mount Vesuvius as part of a full day that included Pompeii and it was absolutely wonderful. As we ascended the mountain we stopped mid way for the best pizza I have ever tasted. The little restaurant (which I am ashamed to say I don't remember the name of) unfortunately had a power outage shortly before we arrived. That did not stop them from welcoming us warmly and providing wonderful wood fired pizza for our lunch. From there it was on the Mount Vesuvius herself. There was poor visibility but luckily the rain had passed and we were able to hike to the rim of the crater. Unable to see in to the rim itself because of the low lying fog did not dampen the wonder of being at the top. If anything it added to the magic. Truly an experience of a lifetime.

Located on the east coast of the Gulf of Naples in southern Italy, Mount Vesuvius erupted violently in 79 AD, destroying the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum nearby at the time, and now the volcano and ancient city have become famous tourist attractions in Italy. Vesuvius erupted several times after that eruption, the last of which was in 1944, forming a huge volcanic cone, with a crater 600 meters in diameter and about 300 meters deep, in a semi-dormant state. Touring the volcano from the bottom of the mountain to the crater requires half an hour to climb. There is a guardrail plank road around the crater, and visitors can watch it. The plank road only builds a distance of half the crater. The crater is black with charred black and white smoke is coming out at the bottom.

Because of the fame of Mount Vesuvius, only dare to shoot far away to avoid repeating the tragedy of Pompeii. Standing in Naples and overlooking Mount Vesuvius, he is so quiet and beautiful.

Vesuvius is an active volcano on the European continent, located on the eastern coast of the Bay of Naples in southern Italy, where the world's largest volcanic Observatory is located and still smoking. Mountain roads are not tired, but they are all volcanic ash. It is recommended to wear shoes suitable for mountain climbing. Never be white. The view on the top of the mountain is good, probably because of volcanic ash, a little hazy.

When it comes to Mount Vesuvius, you naturally think of Pompeii, an ancient city solidified by the volcano in an instant. A violent eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. destroyed the ancient city of Pompeii, which had more than 20,000 people at that time. I always feel that the ancient city of Pompeii is too cruel, instantly disappeared life, instantly disappeared a city. At Naples Railway Station, you can see Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano of 1281 meters is not very high. But the crater on the top of the mountain can still see thick white smoke pillars, which is daunting.
