It wasn't really my cup of tea, but I'm sure others would find it fascinating.

The Musee de l'Armee is one of the most impressive military history museums in the world. Located in Les Invalides, the museum features an amazing collection of items from France's military history.

I haven't been here for a long time and I was surprised to see how the War Museum is so much better. Apart from all the ancient war galleries, they have a whole session dedicated to WW1 and WW2 that is truly awesome. This is also where Napoleon was buried and you can see all his personal belongings and correspondance on the back of the building.

For those interested in history, this is the place! Napoleons bed, and his horse and dog! Many interesting historical items.

If we had to pay, I would have thought Napoleon’s Tomb was a big disappointment but the Musée de L’Armée was incredible value. There was so much there and even though I’m not particularly interested in military history, it was nevertheless absorbing. Because there was so much to look at, we did not manage to see most of the different historical periods, which start from pre-Roman times to the present. We focussed on the period from Louis XIV to Napoleon III. The moving displays showing the progress of battles were spellbinding but took up a lot of time. A person interested in history could easily spend an entire day.
