Guimet Museum Review

There is a quiet place in the center of Paris, where many exhibits showing the Eastern civilization are gathered, the richness and meticulousness of the exhibits beyond people's imagination, which is the symbol of the intersection of East and West cultures - the Jimei Museum. Jimei's exhibits are so rich that our measurement of the Jimei series is divided into nine phases, this time we visit the Jimei series of the ninth phase - the South Asian Pearl Road. We came to the exhibition hall and first saw the huge Angkor Wat stone carvings, which were preserved in the Cambodian Khmer period and were placed in front of us. These exhibits were shipped from Cambodia to Paris, and they felt the high archaeological value of the exhibits. How is Khmer smile? Where is the source of the thousand-hand Guanyin? What is the infinite light Buddha? What is the difference between the Han-hua Guanyin Bodhisattvas we see and these Angkor-carved Bodhisattvas? How is South Asian Buddhism different from the Buddhism we know? Buddhism has added different meanings and interpretations to the evolution of several countries, and the image and material of Buddha statues have gradually changed with the regional culture. We are not only ornamental sculpture, but also focusing on the cultural meaning behind the sculpture.
