MALBA was everything I was hoping for in a South American art museum. With its collection of Argentine and other Latin American art it quickly won me over and easily earned the title of My Favorite Art Museum. I loved the bright colors and the variety of artwork. You can take pictures inside which is great! The onsite restaurant is pretty expensive and not much close by as far as restaurants so plan accordingly if you are on foot. MALBA is a local and tourist favorite. As an artist myself, I always walk away inspired. They have excellent temporary and permanent collections and exhibits. World-famous artists such as Yayoi Kusama have had had amazing interactive exhibits. This museum is always a great place to check out with friends. The best day to go is Wednesdays, which has a reduced price (see their official site for details though).

The Malba is one of Buenos Aires’ most popular and well-known contemporary art galleries. It host exhibits from local and international artists, including photographers, illustrators, painters and sculptors, throughout the year and houses a fairly large bookstore full of artistic souvenirs and texts. It also presents a wide range of independent films and documentaries, from Argentina and other parts of the world, which are sometimes free of charge. One thing to be aware of is that when a popular exhibition is being hosted, the queues to get into The Malba on the weekends are very long, so be sure to arrive early.
