This is more civil navigation, unlike the Spanish Naval Museum in Madrid.

Founded in 1724, it was formerly the Geographical Navigation Research Institute. The museum houses many important models of military ships from the 17th and 18th centuries. The most outstanding exhibits include the 17th century warships with three decks and 150 artillery pieces. The 18th century military ship LeBienAime, with two decks and 60 cannons, dates back to the beginning of the 18th century and has 34 cannons. The museum also houses ancient maps. The map collection consists mainly of maps engraved on copper coins and old maps drawn in the 17th and 18th centuries. This museum is one of the most important museums of the same type in the world.

This museum has a lot of paintings from the seafaring era and a lot of ancient maps, which are especially precious versions.

When I came here to visit, I thought of Pirates of the Caribbean.
