Museo Sugbo is the 2nd museum I've been to in Cebu City. Officially a stopover in my Cebu City Museum tour itinerary, I went there with my boyfriend. This museum is by far the best museum I've been to, with 16 galleries available for viewing. They have artifacts predating to the pre-colonial Philippines, to the Spanish colonization era, next to the Japanese colonization era, to the American colonization era. I was amazed at how huge their collection is. They even have some original letters of the late Leon Kilat, a hero of Cebu during the Philippine revolution. This place is such a great place to learn the Filipino history.

Museo Sugbo is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in uncovering the captivating history of Cebu. With its impressive collection, well-preserved setting, and informative displays, the museum offers a captivating journey through time. Despite a few minor areas for improvement, Museo Sugbo is an invaluable gem that showcases the vibrant heritage of Cebu with great care and reverence.

I highly recommend the place for all visitors - local and foreign. It details Cebu history verywell in a structured and organised way. Staff are helpful and guides you. The place itself isinteresting as it used to be a jail and now refurbished to house Cebuano heritage.Suggestions for the management: toilet could be refurbished up to better standards.

The Cebu Provincial Museum or better known as Museo Sugbo is comprised of four galleries divided in two different buildings. This used to be the Cebu Provincial Jail and is now utilized to store artifacts of Cebu's olden times. Admission is free for those who want to visit and see as well as learn about Cebu's heritage.

Worth a visit! This place helped me pass my LET. It’s informative and you get to feel how it was during the time of our ancestors in Cebu. This was the beginning of my addiction to museums. 😊✌️
