Chicago is a city that plays to its strengths, and while the lake can look a bit like the arctic in the dead of winter, few parts of the city are more lovely in-season than its well-cultivated coastline. Case in point: the Museum Campus. Not content to merely have awesome attractions like the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium, Chicago has done it better by including them all in a rolling stretch of landscaped coastline in the sprawling Grant Park. While the museums themselves are all awesome, it's the civic green-space that connects them that makes this spot more than the sum of its parts.
