This free museum, located on the third floor of Brisbane's City Hall, houses both permanent and temporary exhibits, and is very approachable. During our recent visit, the two featured exhibits were "Ink Remix" (a temporary show of contemporary art from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong) and "100% Brisbane: Everybody has a Story to Tell" (an elaborate, modern, interactive exhibit featuring the lives of 100 people currently living in Brisbane, as well as activities/exhibits related to the history of the area). The museum has a small, but very nice gift shop.

This is a small museum that presents Brisbane's history and provides some interesting information. In the future, I hope to add more exhibits, including physical or replicas, to show the way early settlers and natives lived. There is much to read here, but there is not much to read for people without literary accumulation.

There are no top-notch art works in the art gallery. They are all local Australian literary works. The museum is free as well as the art gallery. The museum is more attractive. There are various realistic animal specimens and a giant dinosaur skeleton. A large octopus specimen, the creepy big-eyed thief, scary.

Good way to spend the afternoon. We started the morning with a tour of the City Hall building. Then headed up stairs to view the Museum. And have enjoyed 2 different displays there. We also checked out the Clock tower tour.

I like a museum the most. Every time I go, I have different feelings. How to go, I don’t get tired. Art can really calm people. 💜

Museum of Brisbane Museum is located on the third floor of Brisbane City Hall. It opened in October 2003. It is free of charge from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. It shows Brisbane's history through oil paintings, photographs and videos. It also introduces the Brisbane River in particular to help visitors better understand the city. There is another one for visitors for 60 seconds. The interactive place for recording, called Brisbane Memory, can record your stories about Brisbane and share them with you.
