Myazedi means "emerald pagoda" in Burmese. The gilded top of Myazedita is particularly striking among the surrounding pagodas. Legend has it that King Anulutto, who was founded after the duel killed his half brother Sokkade, was built in 1044 on the duel throne for confession.
