Nantong Museum Review

Nantong Museum is the largest and most content museum in Nantong City. And the whole museum is like a garden, its green ecology is better than the average city, I went there twice, still a little meaning.

I punched in Nantong Museum Garden again. I especially like this open museum. This time I visited the southern Fujian industry. The museum’s Shen Shout-Tip Painting Exhibition is also beautiful. If I have the opportunity, I will bring my children next time.

The exhibits displayed in historical cultural relics, from the primitive society to the end of the Qing Dynasty, include the early collections of the museum garden, such as the bronze drums of the warring states, the bronze drums of the Han Dynasty, the celadon furnace of the Longquan kiln in the Song Dynasty, the white ground black flower porcelain pillows of the Cizhou kiln in the Yuan Dynasty, and the cotton cloth unearthed in the tombs of the Ming Dynasty. Among the modern cultural relics, there are Zhang Shu's handwriting, literature and the physical and historical pictures of the establishment of Dasheng Yarn Factory, Salt Reclamation and Cultural and Educational undertakings.

Nantong Museum was founded in 1905 by Zhang Qian, a pioneer of early modernisation in China and the Zhuangyuan of the late Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of the building, the museum's collections were divided into four parts: natural production, history, art and education, mainly displayed in exhibition halls such as South Hall and North Hall, while large cultural relics were displayed outdoors.

I didn't expect Nantong to have such a beautiful and special museum. There are few open museums that combine inside and outside. Look at the exhibition of the inner museum and then look at the scenery in the courtyard. And the history is very long, the rockery behind the Guoxiu Pavilion has a history of more than 100 years, it is really beautiful, a little pity that several museums have not opened, but it is not worthwhile, and I will bring my children again next time!

No tickets are required to enter the museum, but the Haonan and Nanyuan inside charge 10 yuan (first visit to Haonan and buy 10 yuan joint tickets there). The new museum has two halls, history and nature. If you go slowly, you can also visit for half a day. The environment of the museum is very good. In winter, the greenness is less, but the wintersweet is open. The city is a very worthwhile place to visit.
