Yushan Temple is located on the small Yushan Island on the shore of Hoan Kiem Lake. It has a triple gate, a large hall, a corridor, etc. It is connected to the lake through the Qixu Bridge. It is recorded that the Zheng Dynasty of Vietnam built Ruiqing Palace and Zuowang Pavilion on Yushan Island, and was destroyed in war. Later, the Taoist Temple was built on Yushan Island, and the scale was further expanded in 1872. The way to enter the temple was built with a wall, meaning to forget the world. There is a pen tower built on a small earth slope, and a large terrace built relatively not far away. One day every year, when the sun rises, the tip of the pen tower shadows into the terrace. There are many inscriptions and links in Yushan Temple. The entire monastery is exquisitely structured, small and exquisite, and the scenery of Hoan Kiem Lake is like the view of Penglai. Yushan Island was the fishing platform of the emperor of Li Dynasty in the 15th century. In the 18th century, the Guandi Temple was built on the island, and then expanded to the Yushan Temple. Now it is also dedicated to Guandi and national heroes. There is also a turtle specimen recovered in the Hoan Kiem Lake in mid-1968, weighing 250 kilograms, which adds mystery to the legend of the turtle in the lake.
