On the hill of the small town, stands the Niederwald Monument, which was built to commemorate the victory of the Franco-Prussian War, located on the vineyard slope northwest of Rudesheim, 38 meters high, based on 1877, 1883 monument officially completed. Above is the Germanic goddess, who holds the sword in her left hand and holds the crown in her right hand, wearing a crown of oak leaves symbolizing victory and glory. At the top of the base of the monument is the eagle of the Empire, surrounded by the emblems of the 22 states of the German Empire at that time. On the right corner of the base stood the god of peace, holding the rich horn and olive branch symbolizing richness and peace; on the left corner stood the god of war, his right hand clenched the sword, and his mouth had sounded the trumpet of the march.
