Driving from the city centre of Helsinki, but an hour later, the city's reinforced concrete buildings had been replaced by forests, and the winter lake was frozen and snow-covered, leaving a large patch of white. Our destination is this dog sled base in the NUKSIO National Park. I didn't expect the dog to gallop so fast, the sled galloping on the forest road, the splashing snowflakes on the face, the camera, this is only the ice and snow fun. Dog sledding can be carried out from December to April of the following year, during which time Helsinki is usually covered with heavy snow. In other months, in the season when the temperature is suitable, the owner will bring the dog for training, on the hottest days in summer, the furry sled dogs are not suitable for sports, the owner will take them out to camping holiday. Driving a sled is also a learning, and dogs need to combine work and leisure, so they can slow down or stop to rest in the middle of the road. Sled dogs are naturally active, curious and explorer, and running is their nature. We sat around the campfire, chatting with cheese and a Sami-made dough meal, and strangers would soon get to know each other in this atmosphere.
