Olympiastadion Berlin Review

The Berlin Olympic Stadium is a relatively cold attraction, but it carries a heavy history. This is an ancient Olympic venue. The period when Berlin hosted the Olympics was officially World War II. The design of the entire stadium is full of the style of that era. A ripple formed by two columns at the door, the five rings hanging above are still witnessing the changes of the times. It can be reached from the subway station through a boulevard, which is actually very convenient.

It feels very good to have an English speaker for one hour. It has access to the inner stairs and changing rooms, an atmospheric appearance, a roof with membrane structure after renovation, a free toilet and a good souvenir shop.

The IOC selected Berlin as the city for the 1916 Summer Olympics in 1912. The German government originally planned to build a new main venue in Charlotteburg, west of Berlin, but later put the plans on hold and hired architect Otto Mach to design the main venue. He decided to build a stadium with 40,000 spectators by excavation, which will be the world's largest stadium at the time.
