East Asia Museum (stasiatiska museet) is a museum on the island of the ship in Stockholm, Sweden, adjacent to the contemporary museum. The museum houses Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Southeast Asian artifacts. The East Asia Museum was founded in 1926 and was the first director of Swedish archaeology to contribute a lot to Chinese archaeology. Antson, then known as the "Far East Antiquities Museum", was the second director of Swedish sinologist Gao Benhan. He moved to the current site of Ship Island in 1963.
