Oxford Castle & Prison Review

Covid regulations at the castle/prison dictate that an hours guided tour must be taken. In reality a visit without one would be a mistake. Our tour was conducted by Becca, right from the start it was obvious she has a thorough knowledge of the sights to see at the location. A thoroughly enjoyable, rewarding and enlightening visit. Highly recommended.

The castle did not go in to see, and there was a meeting at the door. Originally, the scenery on the small earth slope was good, but I think it still felt good. The small earth slope will stop in the evening and become a tea, consumption.

Oxford architecture is truly spectacular and magnificent! In addition, with a little mystery, I also appreciated the beautiful scenery and felt the long history and splendid culture. It is better to see a hundred things than to hear them.

What is incomprehensible is that the castle used to be a place where people were imprisoned. It's terrible to think about it. There are medieval dress guides, who can explain the history inside. The stairs are very narrow.

It is worth recommending, mainly praise the staff, the people are super good, the attitude is really very good, there is no impatient!

Oxford Castle is on the way to Oxford University from Oxford Railway Station. It was a Roman building, supposedly defensive at that time, and was later used as a prison. The old castle is now being opened up as a tourist attraction, which requires a 10.5 pound ticket. The fare is set higher, but there is nothing particularly worth seeing inside. Just look at the appearance.
