Sienfuegos is famous for its colonial architecture in France, known as the "Pearl of the South" (Perla del Sur). The center of Sienfuegos's history is UNESCO's world heritage site. Among them, the former residence of the Valle family, built in 1917, is now a national cultural relics of Cuba.
