It is protecting and further researching endangered crocodile species. It is also a "hospital" for sick and disabled crocodiles, as well as a small zoo for collecting local animals.

公主港的鳄鱼农场，实地到访才知道这里的内容远远比字面上所谓的“鳄鱼农场”更丰富。以前被称为Irawan鳄鱼养殖研究所。该中心旨在保护和进一步研究濒危的鳄鱼种类。该中心是生病和伤残鳄鱼的“医院”，同时也是收集当地动物的一个小型动物园。动物的喂食时间为每个星期一和星期四的下午。该中心位于普林塞萨港(Puerto Princesa)的Barangay Irawan，从市区乘车到中心需要30-40分钟。馆内大多都是同样参加city tour的游客，有各自的导游带着并讲解。对于鳄鱼馆的背景知识，标本介绍等等没有导游讲解还真的不行。里面一头叫做LEO的鳄鱼，上图是它的皮肤标本，下图是它的骨架标本。是巴拉望目前捕获到的鳄鱼里面体型最庞大的一只，因为把一个渔夫的半个身体全部咬掉才被村民发现，抓到后没过多久就抑郁而死。不管是哪种动物，都更习惯自由自在的生活吧。鳄鱼馆除了标本，自然也有活物可以看咯。这一块室内区域是专门养殖小鳄鱼的，每个池子里都有五、六只；参观的游客可以近距离站在池子边看，只是手不能伸过警戒线。因为虽然是小鳄鱼，有时候也会惊醒着突然蹦起来，所以还是远观比较好。大部分的团看完鳄鱼馆就离开了，或许大家的行程单上写的都是鳄鱼农场而已，其实鳄鱼馆的后面还有一大片巴拉望特有的野生动物保育区藏在密林深处；且不说动物种类如何珍稀，动物园建在“野生”气息如此浓烈的环境里，本身就很猎奇啊。整个动物园都是这样狭窄的土路，串起了各类动物的展示点。其实如果不去想这是一次动物园的参观活动，我更想把它当做一次原始森林的探秘行程。偶有阳光透过茂密的树丛直射到地上，闪烁着的都是大自然最纯净的光辉。漫步其间，闻到的都是沁凉的草本香气，猜测身边的古树经历多少悠悠岁月。以及，永远都不知道下一秒会与什么奇迹相遇。。。
