Barcelona's Castle Park, founded in 1877, was once the only green space in the city and remains one of the most popular parks. When the sun is shining, it is often crowded with tourists and locals who come for walks, jogs, canoeing, cycling or children. It sits on the northeast edge of the old town and covers 70 acres, including zoos, Catalan parliament, lakes, fountains, and several museums.
