This Gothic church is located in the revived Les Halles area of Paris. It is smaller than Notre Dame, but brighter than the famous cathedral and has no crowds. The windows are decorated with bright colored glass, and gorgeous brass wall lamps and chandeliers add gold-plated details. The timber for decorating the pipe organ and carving the forum is very beautiful and colorful, which is in sharp contrast to the big stone pillars and floors. The church has an impressive history - Louis XIV received his first communion here, and Mozart chose the church to attend his mother's funeral. In the compromise art collection, there is a Rubens painting, next to the trilogy of Keith & Harlin. Santa Eustash is a lovely place, especially on a sunny afternoon. Don't miss the giant sculpture near the entrance "L'' Ecoute".

X marks this spot and it never erodes! The first time you spot this 'X' on the wall you’ll notice them popping up over the city. It’s an 'X's that mark the spot but also there’s 'O's too, making a game of O-X-O or tic-tac-toe. At this particular spot I really see the 'X' as having a harmoniously link with the design of the steel balcony. A sympathetic design feature in-keeping with the architecture, in-tune with the concrete landscape as if intended as part of the architects original plan. The artist is De ZeeR's Tic Tac Toe whose designs feature in the Agnes B. boutique near Saint-Eustache.

In the historic location of Les Halles on the popular pedestrian street rue Montorgueil lies Marché Saint-Eustache-Les-Halles (a mouthful, I know)! The market is not so big (there's usually around 20ish stalls) and it is only open on Thursday's and Sunday's. Like other markets there's a selection of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, wine sellers, French cheese, butchers etc... Even if you're not here for the food, it is worth coming for the location and taking a stroll around, or sitting down at a cafe and people watching.

Pleasant outdoor market in the shadows of Saint Eustache. Open on Sundays. Features a variety of fresh produce / seafood and prepared dishes.

From Tuesday to Sunday on Montorgueil Street, a very attractive market is opened. Even if you don't want to buy anything, it's worth coming to walk a little bit, or drink a coffee while you're watching people's movement.
