Leaving the town of El Calafate, along the beautiful Argentine lake, we enjoyed the stunning snowy peaks (click in). After about an hour of driving, we entered the Argentine Glacier National Park (Parque Nacional Los Claciares). This area belongs to the South Patagonia Glacier Area in the border area between Chile and Argentina. The total area of glaciers is 168,000 square kilometers. There are 49 glaciers in this area. It is the third largest glacier area in the world after the Antarctic Glacier and the Great Greenland Glacier. One of the most beautiful glaciers we are going to visit today is the Glaciar Perito Moreno.
