Pingyor Garden is not far from Chandigarh, and the environment is very quiet and the supporting facilities are perfect.

Few people know that Pinjore garden is open in evening with colourful lights all around. One can take tickets till 7:30pm, garden is open till 8:00pm. Restaurants inside are open beyond that. We enjoyed the different view of the garden in comparison to day visit. Its fountains, trees, canals, ponds and walls were illuminated with different colours of lights. Ticket for Camera is very high (11,500/-), so we have to content with our mobile cameras only. Lots of beautiful pictures taken inside by us. We have snacks in restaurants situated at left side in the end. Several fountains were not working, may be due to few tourist visit in evening. The location of the garden associates itself with Pandava, as it is believed they stayed here during their exile. It has been renamed as ‘Yadavindra Garden’ in the memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh former of the princely state of Patiala. After it was initially built by Fidai Khan, the garden was refurbished by him and restored to its former splendor. Unlike Mugal Garden of Srinagar, J&K the seven terraces of this garden descends as you go to end.

Pinjoor Garden has many mango trees and it is best to see the lighted fountain at night. Avoid going to Chandigarh on Mondays as most tourist attractions will be closed and the garden is along the edge of the valley or pond from the top to the bottom, with lots of bats.
