The square is one of the most lively squares in Nice. It was built around the 1830s and now connects the old city and the new city of Nice. The north half of the square is rectangular and the south half is semicircular. The ground is shaped by black and white stones, and there are 36 stone pine trees in the center. There is a beautiful fountain in the square, it is worth stopping and there are many foods.
