Port Arthur Historic Site Review

Port Arthur Historic Site in Tasmani, Italy, was put into use in 1830 and was then a purgatory on earth. Over the past forty years, more than 12,000 British prisoners in exile have been detained here. More than 100 years later, Port Arthur, though not as daunting as the colonial period, has a trace of vicissitudes and bitterness. The prison is surrounded by mountains, like a natural barrier castle, which was the most dreadful place for exiles at that time. People called it Hell Hole. There are more than 30 buildings, ruins and reconstructed antique houses, and so on. It takes you a day to visit them. Between Port Arthur and Tasmania, there is a narrow area of Shaanxi Province, surrounded by a large number of sharks, known as "the prison that can not escape". Visitors can visit ancient churches, powder depots, prisons and guard towers built by prisoners. There is also a prison museum full of peculiar style, you can see many pictures and objects of that time, even prisoners'clothes, whips and chains, etc., others shudder.
