Powder Tower Review

The gunpowder storage tower was built in the 14th century and rebuilt in the 16th century. It is 25.5 meters high and 3 meters thick. There were seven shells attacked by Russian forces in the 17th and 18th centuries on the outer walls. Now it's the Latvian Military Museum.

This was virtually the first place I spent some time at in Old Riga, forming effectively a notable entrance at one spot to the Old Town.

The gunpowder tower, which was originally part of Riga's urban defense system, is now the site of the Latvian War Museum. The mountain tiger growing on the tower wall will change with the season. The holes exposed make the people approaching it feel the vicissitudes of history.

Mihulka Powder Tower is a Gothic gate in Prague's old city. One of the city's landmark buildings, built in 1475, was designed and built according to the model of the old city bridge tower of Charlie Bridge. It is the only one that survives in Prague's 13 gates.
