Shenniu Temple is the oldest monastery in Angkor. Preah Ko means God Bull. Named after the God ox-quot; Nandi" worshipped in this temple, Nandi is the rider of Shiva. The original name of the temple is "Pamaishala", which is also the meaning of Shiva. You don't have to guess, this temple is dedicated to Shiva. It is said that it was built in order to sacrifice the ancestors and kings by King Dharatama I. Through the collapsed gate, you will see three statues of Nandi facing six halls, only one statue of Nandi is well preserved, and the other two statues have no shape due to the changes of time. Shenniu Temple can be seen everywhere to repair the traces, although the wall used the old method, but compared with those over the Millennium stones are still very obvious. What remains unchanged is the pattern on the lintel. Whether in the past or in the present, the ingenious sculpture is amazing.
